Regional Conference on the continuation of the joint ‘Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey’ programme
The Centre for SEELS participated at the regional conference that took place in Skopje, North Macedonia, on 9 October, were the continuation of the joint ‘Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey’ programme was announced.
The Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey (Horizontal Facility II) 2019-2022 is a co-operation initiative of the European Union and Council of Europe with the Western Balkans region and Turkey. The programme supports tailored reform processes agreed with the authorities, in line with relevant Council of Europe monitoring and advisory bodies’ recommendations, in the fields of human rights, rule of law and democracy.
It is our pleasure to announce our further cooperation with the Council of Europe within the area of freedom of expression and freedom of the media.
Last year, the Council of Europe in cooperation with the SEELS Network within the HELP Programme for higher legal education professionals, held a Training-of-Trainers at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade.
Call for Applications for the Summer School “#FreeMedia4WesternBalkans
We are very pleased to announce a Call for Applications for the Summer School “#FreeMedia4WesternBalkans: Promoting Legal Education in the field of Media Law, Democratization and the EU accession process”, that will take place at the Faculty of Law, University of Split from 22 till 28 of September 2019.
The selected candidates will be provided with TRAVEL and ACCOMMODATION GRANTS, as per the instructions provided in the application form bellow.

EU Law days round one - successfully implemented in the SEELS network
EU law days which are significant component of the project „Strengthening the EU Legal Studies in the South East Europe”, have been implemented by almost all faculties members of SEELS network in the past period i.e. December 2018 until May 2019.
They took various formats as lectures, presentations, debates, round tables etc.
The Law Faculty of Skopje has organized round table today, 31.05.2019.
We are looking forward to the EU Law days in the Faculties of Law in Tirana and Zagreb.
We will share more information about the second round which will be organized in the upcoming period.
Fourth Call for Papers for the new edition of the SEE Law Journal
The South East European Law School Network is glad to announce the Fourth Call for Papers for the new edition of the SEE Law Journal.
We cordially invite you to submit your contributions for the SEE Law Journal. The SEE Law Journal is open for submission of articles prepared by the academics of the SEELS network, that are dealing with aspects of EU Law separately or vis a vis their local legislation. The authorship is restricted to maximum three co-authors per article. For further instructions please see the subsection Guidelines for Authors.
Papers should be submitted in English language via the projects web platform www.seelawjournal.org. Please note that you need to be registered on our web platform in order to be able to submit your paper.
