We are glad to announce that the staff of the Centre for SEELS will be supported in the next couple of months by our new intern Konstantin Bitrakov.

Besides general assistance, Konstantin’s major task will be the development and launch of a regional internship pool within the frames of the DAAD funded project “European Union opens markets”.

The creation of a centralised SEE internship pool will assist law students and young professionals to identify adequate opportunities to bridge the frequently criticised gap between academia and the demands of the labour market in South Eastern Europe. It will help students and young job seekers to connect theoretic knowledge with practical experience and thereby facilitate their entrance into the labour market. On the other hand, employers in search of adequately trained staff will be able to identify future employees at an early stage. The SEE legal internship pool will be the first internship portal of its kind in South Eastern Europe.

The internship pool is expected to be launched during the “SEE-EU LAW NET Summer Academy“ which will be hosted by the law faculties of the Universities of Zagreb and Split at the beginning of September.
