On April 6, 2016 the 70th anniversary of the establishment and work of the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo was marked. With ceremonial session of the Faculty Council, in presence of numerous high officials of the legislative, executive and juridical institutions in the country, the successes of the Faculty, as the oldest higher legal education institution in the country, were presented and celebrated.

Within the activities of marking the anniversary of the Faculty, a roundtable of the members of the SEELS was organised. The round table ‘The Bologna Process: reform of the reformed legal studies’ provided forum to discuss the opportunities and challenges the legal higher education in SEE faces in the since the establishment of the so called Bologna models of the higher education. The organisation of the event was supported by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Open Regional Fund for SEE - Legal Reform.

The Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo is one of the founding members of SEELS and at the occasion of the 70th anniversary the Faculty, was awarded Certificate of Appreciation for its valuable contribution in the development of SEELS.
